2025 General Council Coming to Orlando
General Council 2025 (GC25) convenes Aug. 4-8, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, for the Assemblies of God’s 61st biennial gathering. More than 20,000 AG ministers, missionaries, church leaders, and lay persons will come together for spiritual renewal, leadership development, fellowship, and to shape the future of the Fellowship through business sessions.
“I’m so excited for the upcoming 2025 General Council of the Assemblies of God,” General Superintendent Doug Clay says. “The highlights of this special event include opportunities for relationship building, a spiritual emphasis through powerful times of prayer and worship, and watching God’s hand in action through business sessions to continue to bring relevance and efficiency of ministry to all AG adherents.”
The 2025 General Council will offer a familiar format with main services each morning, afternoon business sessions, and loosely scheduled evenings to allow attendees to attend receptions, National Youth Conference (NYC25) services, or catch up with friends.
Prior to General Council, the week begins with the Influence Conference in a 2 p.m. session on Tuesday, Aug. 5, concluding with a combined service with National Youth Conference at 7 p.m. Influence speakers include Renea Brathwaite, Stephanie Nance, Jason Patterson, Jonathan Rivera, and Teng Vu.
General Council morning service speakers include: Doug Clay, Kristen Waggoner, Doug Roberts, Becca Ketterling, and David Savage. Radiant Collective Worship, a ministry of Radiant Church in Tampa Bay, Florida, will lead worship throughout the week at both the Influence Conference and GC services.
Business sessions will be held each afternoon at 1:30, Wednesday through Friday. The week concludes with the National Youth Congress and Fine Arts Celebration service on Friday evening.
The Assemblies of God KidMin department will host Camp GC for children ages 5-12. This “camp-like experience” will feature fun activities and powerful worship services. This year, Camp GC will be partnering with AG U.S. Missions to help kids “see the need in your neighborhood” and help them develop a heart for missions in their own communities. Kids will also be able to register for Buddy’s Late Night Party, a dinner and evening of fun on Aug. 6, while parents attend evening receptions. And, new for GC25, Ignite Parenting will provide a special section in General Council Business sessions for parents with young children.
In addition to activities already mentioned, there are dozens of optional breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, and receptions being held at various locations in the conference center and conference hotels. To see a listing of all scheduled events, times, and locations, along with info on registration and housing, visit GeneralCouncil.org.
The AG Events app will enable attendees to best connect to GC25 events and news. The app also includes maps, dining and retail locations nearby, speaker information, and access to the full GC25 schedule. The app is available both for mobile and tablet devices in the Apple store and Google Play.
Those traveling to Orlando will enjoy all that this destination city has to offer, including attendee discounts to area attractions.
For those unable to attend the Fellowship’s family gathering, all Influence sessions, morning services and GC business sessions will be livestreamed at GeneralCouncil.org. National Youth Conference services will also be livestreamed on the AG Youth Ministries Facebook page.
The AG Fellowship has grown to 3 million adherents, with 53% of those under the age of 35 and 46% being ethnic minority. The Assemblies of God, growing in numbers and diversity, really is “one big family,” according to Clay.
“I encourage you, make every effort to be there and be part of it; we truly are ‘Our Church, Our Family.’ I’ll see you in Orlando” Clay says.
