This is That – Pentecost Sunday 2026

With Pentecost Sunday taking place in just a few days, pastors, Sunday School teachers, and laypeople can find a wealth of free resources and information on the Holy Spirit on the Assemblies of God Pentecost Sunday page.

“This is That” is the theme for 2026 Pentecost Sunday. The phrase comes from Acts 2:16 where Peter, having just come from the Upper Room where he, along with other believers, had received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, addresses a bewildered crowd of onlookers. Peter explains they are witnessing the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy for “this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel” (emphasis added).

In addition to an email header, presentation slide, and bulletin cover graphics, there are numerous videos available, including a lively discussion on the Day of Pentecost and its implication for believers today with General Superintendent Doug Clay and Theological Counsel Allen Tennison. Pentecost and the Next Generation, The Meaning of Pentecost, and a video specifically for leaders on the Holy Spirit Baptism with Tim Enloe are also found there.

A collection of 12 articles covering topics such as Spiritual Gifts, FAQ: Speaking in Tongues, FAQ: Baptism in the Holy Spirit, The Baptism in the Holy Spirit — It’s for Kids Too; Spirit-Empowered Lifestyle; and many more Holy Spirit-focused articles are offered with brief summaries.

And for those preparing sermons, extended lessons, or posting online about Pentecost, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit tab offers resource Scriptures, articles, sermons, hi-resolution videos for live gatherings, and videos to post to websites under the Baptism in the Holy Spirit tab, with resources also available in Spanish.

“I urge all Assemblies of God churches, leaders, and teachers to use Pentecost Sunday as an opportunity to not only publicly recognize the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, but to share about the life-changing empowerment that only comes through the Baptism in the Holy Spirit,” states Clay.
